How It Works
Converts a dog's age to 'human years'. The old 'multiply by 7' rule is inaccurate; dogs mature rapidly in their first two years, and then age at a rate dependent on their size/breed.
Formula
Years 1-2: ~15-24 human years.
After Year 2: Human Age = 24 + (Dog Age - 2) × Size Modifier
Size Modifiers: Small dogs add 4 years per calendar year, Medium add 5, Large add 6, Giant add 7.

Calculating Human Age for a 5-Year-Old Golden Retriever (Large)
- Dog's Age: 5 years
- First 2 years = 24 human years
- Remaining years = 3 years
- Large dog multiplier = 6 human years per calendar year
- Additional years = 3 × 6 = 18
- Human Age = 24 + 18 = 42 years old
